My mustang has 118,000 miles on, it is a 1996 model. When I turn going at low speeds (Parking lots, etc) it makes an incredibly loud noise. Now I have been doing some research on the internet and I know it is normal for mustangs to do this, but this is REALLY loud. I can easily hear it with the windows closed, over the engine and loud music while driving.

It used to be louder than an average cars, but nothing like this.

Does anyone know what is wrong? Do I need a new steering pump?

I made a movie and put it on youtube, the sound is not 100% as in real life, but close enough.

In the vid I am turning the steering wheel from left to right and right to left a few times.

    Thanks for any advice.

.... mother of God... try flushing the system and top it off and see if that helps.

Bleed the system, add fluid, if not its a ford. Replace it.

Mine does this on occasion, not nearly as loud though. I'll try flushing the fluid
