Supercharger VS Turbo

I have around 3500... which one is better for the money?

I have a 95 Mustang V6 with 4.10 gears, a stock engine with 20000 miles on it, a rebuilt auto tranny with shift kit, UDP's, CAI, and a tune.

Also if u guys say a turbo is better, how does a BOV work with an auto trans?

Thanks for any help.

Why does everyone always ask the manual BOV question? It doesn't seem like a very hard concept. Turbo is definitely better though.

You can't buy a turbo with 3500.
Major power upgrades require the power adder package, fuel pump, injectors, and the re-tune.

however a turbo is more efficient than a S/C. This is HP efficient per PSI, definitely not financially efficient ha ha.

if you are going to races at the tracks or anywhere else , you should go with the supercharger. The turbo is for long distances races only , so if i was you i would invest the money in something worth it.

A turbo will be just as good as a supercharger at the track. You just have to make sure to size it correctly.

I'm just an old country boy but it seems like nobodies answered the question. I have had both turbo and blowers and prefer the latter because they seem to work better off the line. Right now I have a blower in the trunk of my car and can't quite come up with the cash to go any further. I've read your posting for a long time and decided to chime in. eather way is expensive!!! If you do it right!!

You can't make a general statement that turbos make boost before blowers. A PD blower will make boost light years before a turbo that's sized for top end. And yet a smaller turbo will make boost way before a centri blower. It depends on many variables.

ok well... the 3500 is for just a turbo/supercharger. everything else is gonna happen in due time.

and to answer the question... the turbo is better???

it has a new engine. the only thing that isnt new in the drivetrain is the driveshaft. everything else is brand new or rebuilt. the car has 120000 on the clock but less than 20000 on the drivetrain.
