Away from V6's for now........
The quads are their to supplement the factory control arms, V6's don't even have them.

Once you replace the lower control arms with a decent set, you have eliminated a good portion of the axle hop, and then the quads are pretty much not doing anything.

I myself hate redundant and/or unnecessary parts on my vehicles.

The MM heavy duty LCA's have a poly bushing at the chassis end and a spherical bushing at the axle end. This allows the LCA's to much more effectively locate the rear axle than the stock control arms. Thus, as Jesse pointed out, the quad shocks aren't helping anymore.
