How to reset or disable it... I have removed the battery cable, then re-attached it, light goes out, as soon as I drive the car and park it and turn it off, the light comes back on and will not go off... No kind of starting or dieing issues of any kind.... any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated... I hooked up a code reader to it, but it did not give me an option to reset or disable, and it never listed any code of any thing being wrong... So no codes at all...don't know it it makes a difference or not but when I bought it this summer it had an aftermarket radio (Pioneer) installed in it...I have replaced the car battery and both key fob batteries...

I read that there is is a sequence; put it in neutral, er brake on:

Put key in, turn to Accessory position.
    Remove Ignition Switch fuse
    Remove Neg. Batt. Cable
Place Ignition Switch fuse back in
    Connect Negative battery cable

Or, it may just fix itself, as some people have said.

It is NOT the remote battery, the IMMO chip is powered by the ignition cylinder.

Some people say it's the car battery that is getting weak...

    Test the cluster:
Hold the trip reset button with your key off, then insert the key, turn one position forward, until your
odometer says "test", then let go. Keep pushing the trip button until you find dtc codes.

The "chip" is inside the plastic body of the key. It is actually just an RFID type chip and the reader is right above the ignition. Sometimes the chip or reader can get weak with age and what some do then is pull the chip out of the key, and then glue it right on top of the reader. Only way to disable it is to get the computer flashed. Of course that assumes everything else is working right.

They do not get WEAK, it either works or it doesn't. The inductive ring around the
ignition cylinder goes bad, and won't power the chip, so the car will not start. Or, the
receiver goes bad and can't read the chip. He said his car runs, the light just stays on.
Therefore, everything you said has nothing to do with it. If the car did not start,
then yes, but that's not what he indicated. It starts, and runs, the light just stays
    on.

That is not a complete code.
It should be a P with four numbers, not just two numbers.
Police code 51 means Aggravated arson.
You need a code scanner, the codes you get from the odometer test are very basic.
    Don't rely on them.
