V6 Engine Swap

I have a 96 convertible V6 3.8 that at 88,000 miles I'm going to have to pay to have my head gaskets replaced again. My question is can the 1999 V6 engine be installed in my car easily or would it be to costly and not worth it, its not about the horsepower gain I've read that the 1999 engine doesn't have the head gasket issues the 1996 does. If it's to costly, then does anyone make a blow proof head gasket for 1996 3.8 liter engine?
