Is that the one that's still gas too though?

I can't wait to see what the production Model 3 looks like. I'm really hoping it has great success as I'd like to buy one.

Decided to let VW buy back the TDI ASAP. It needs an expensive service, new tires, registration renewal coming up, AC is on the fritz, etc etc. Just done with it. Need a cheap car to hold me over. Gen 1 Volts can be had for stupid cheap now, I paid $14k for a 2013 with 28k miles. They're dead reliable and have 100k powertrain and battery warranty from GM.

Also needed to free up some of my dieselgate proceeds to help pay for grad school.

Yeah they're basically a plug-in hybrid with a bigger battery. They go ~40 miles on electricity alone and then the gas motor kicks in after that and gets 40mpg. Not bad.

Still looking forward to the 3. Putting in a 50 amp plug this weekend to charge the Volt and be ready for future EV fun.

Did you put down a deposit for one? I thought about it, but then when I saw over 400k people had and then the relation to production estimates, I figured I may be just as good waiting till you can go to a dealership, especially since the center in OKC hasn't been built yet. I do have a Tesla Supercharged 8 miles from my house, which is kind of cool.

It could very well be the "Model T" of electric cars.

That's part of the reason I want one. I want to tell my grandchildren I bought one. Plus I bet it's a blast to drive.

Looks like it will be pretty quick. I can't wait to see how the tech improves on the model s in the next 5-7 years when I can actually afford one.

I'm all in on Elon's masterplan too. The dude is a one of a kind genius.

Elon Musk is probably going to save humanity from itself. I'm a huge fan of his. One of the few famous people in the world I'd actually like to meet.

Elon Musk is going to save the world, likely at my direct expense.
