Why are some topic thread discussions so wide that I have to scroll via the horizontal scroll bar and other conversations fit width wise perfect (thus making for a better read)?

    Resolution should be fine.

This width thing varies depending on which thread I'm reading. Maybe 1 in 15 are too wide and require me to scroll for some reason.

Usually it's just pictures that are too wide. I dunno why you'd be having a problem.

That's cool, not a problem. Just wondering why that happens sometimes. I usually just end up not reading the thread because it's annoying. :)
